Honoring the Sacred Self

We live in a world of variety. Each person is gifted with an individual expression comprised of his/her own values of truth, love, and freedom. This authenticity of one’s soul/spirit guides one along the path of it’s Divine Purpose. This essence is creative in nature whether one is making art or living life. I have found the things I enjoy currently in my life are the things which brought me joy as a child: nature, sewing, collecting rocks, making things from found objects, and writing. Throughout the years this list has greatly enlarged. I feel a connection with Spirit when I engage in creative activities. It is important to nourish oneself; heart mind, body, and soul/spirit. When one honors the Sacred Self, one honors the Divine in all. I find that whether I am sitting in meditation, journaling, taking photos, painting a picture,  or communing with nature I am connecting with the Sacred. What activities in your life feel Sacred? Do you view creativity as a Sacred Act? Do consider gratitude and kindness as nourishing to your Soul? How do you honor your Sacred Self?

Treasure Chest of Truth

“The deeper one digs the more lost one might feel yet the closer he gets to finding what has been lost. Much is buried beneath many layers-truth and treasure. Your truth is your treasure. It is the route to both freedom and abundance. Self exploration leads to connections; to the past, to others, but more importantly to Spirit and self. Your truth within manifests into abundance around you. A time of fallow precedes a time of fruit. Each period is of importance. It is good to remember what one does for self he does for others. That reverberation reaches and extends and continues. The echo from the mountain is heard across the valley and so on. Lift your voice to sing and your foot to dance. It will always reach another of the same beat/resonance. Together healing occurs. No one does it all or alone. The saying ‘takes a village to raise a child’ goes the same for saving humanity/the world. Every being plays a part that fits into others until all hands are joined. Each is a link in the chain/circle. We are here to connect, to commune, to recognize the tribe who helps us find our way, what makes us feel complete. This can be strictly in relationship or can be work, creative endeavors, joy, or adventure inspired, whatever makes one ‘tick’. It is in the ‘coming alive’ where one finds self-connection to Spirit-a sense of purpose. To live with purpose is to live with intention. That essence is known to small children but is often lost through outside influence. When one regains this essence and lives from this center this authenticity, this truth, leads him with his purpose, his desire of experience. This places his mark on the world, whatever it is and in whatever form it takes-for that is his purpose-to find it and use it. For it will lead him home. And that is the beauty of the quest.

Sharing A Message

I haven’t posted lately, but I received a message from one of my guides and feel it worthy to share as it can apply to anyone. I hope you find it as uplifting as I do. Perhaps this is a nudge for me to share these messages and my own words more often.

“Do not be afraid of who you are. Embrace your power. Freedom is the acceptance of your gifts. You have unexplored gifts. Have the courage to tap into them. Many of which you’ve touched the surface but go much deeper. The discovery of a gift is NOT the gift. The blessing is its potential of goodness – how it may heal, expand, elevate not only self but others. It is the touch of sacred, the beauty and grace of its wisdom. It is the acceptance of “knowing” and allowing it to work in your life. Breath is a balance of passion, play, and pursuit – Live, explore, seek, and enjoy!”

The State of Self

A water nymph or a wood nymph? A title is not her being, nor is her being a title. She seems to be bound to two worlds. On bended knees her moss laden legs stretch and dig into the river, her roots grounding her beneath the riverbed. Yet, she bears the mark of the forest upon the etched bark of her back. Whether or not she is claimed by both water and earth, she dances with the wind. Her arms reach skyward to the sun which shines upon her. She knows she can never be contained, for it is her freedom to be a part of it all…and she rises.

As humans it is within our nature to define or confine ourselves or others to titles or labels by occupations, talents, traits, or relationships. With the ending or changing of careers or relationships these titles modify. One may experience a sense of loss or perhaps of freedom, thus an alteration of power.

One experiences many changes in a lifetime. As one reflects on the past, she may find she has faced change kicking and screaming and other times jumping in with both feet. Other changes may have been gradual and graceful. Has there been a time of upheaval in your life that in retrospect proved to be beneficial? Have the use of lables and titles in your life been both negative and positive? What strength do you find within yourself to guide you along the journey of change? From your lifetime of experience is there a piece of advice you wish you could have imparted to your younger self?

We are Love

We – you – are people of Earth. We feel her pain. We feel her joy. We are her heartbeat. We are the wind, her breath. She lives through each of us, and each of us through her. We are the flow of the river, above and beneath the ground; the eternal spring of living water. We are the roots of the trees which ground us in place and wings of the birds which grant us freedom. We are the beauty of every bloom. See, we are the blood, the breath, and the beauty. We are the physical forces of nature in its rawest power. We are her. She is us. We are one. Remember this. Feel her heart beat in your chest. Feel her blood flow through your veins. Feel her roots pull you. Feel her wings give you flight. Feel her. Remember her. Remember who you are. You contain the force of a storm and the gentleness of a pond. You know how and when to use each one. The choice is yours. While there is a time for all things, all these things must spring from love. For love is the beginning, the now, and the future. For the mother (Earth) is love. She nurtures from such as well as disciplines. She is love in its original state. She is the basis of this world. Humans distorted her purpose. Remember her love. Remember her purpose. For her love and her purpose is yours. For you are her, and you are us…we are one. We are love.
