Better Days

One has seen better days

Yet still smiling ‘cuz

Many more are to come

In hours of fallow haze,

Releasing what one was

As the work has just begun

Mingling among inner ways

As a loner often does

Seeking what he will become

Snapshots caught within a daze

Simply flicker, as it was,

For the days are not done

Hearts now lit ablaze

As is what Spirit does

For the All is in One

One will see better days

And continue smiling ‘cuz

All return to which he’s from

Exploring the Heart

Every day is a new beginning, an opportunity to make a dream come true. Whether it is the first step, the final piece, or somewhere in between, the gift of breath provides a bridge form one place to the next. It’s easy to be complacent. It takes courage to walk the path unknown. Whether the adventure is internal or external, exploration awaits. One will never know the outcome if one refuses the start. The greatest gifts are on the path between start and finish. If one lets go of expectations of the current and steps into the flow he will find his pace. Perhaps he will swim. Perhaps he will float. The pace is up to him. One can reach the same point both ways. True, one doesn’t sink or drown if he refuses to enter the water. But if he doesn’t enter, he doesn’t experience the joy of adventure offered nor does he benefits the rewards along the way or at its completion. Without courage, one will never become what he could have been. A cloudy day can be just what is needed, but when the sun chooses to be seen all seems to take in a renewed energy. One has the power to take wandering and wondering to new levels. One only needs to wander into the wonder by initiating the first step of a goal.
